AP: Alabama senator has indicated he won’t run again
U.S. Sen. Richard C. Shelby of Alabama, the Senate’s fourth most senior member, has told confidantes that he does not intend to run for reelection next year.
The 86-year-old is expected to make an official announcement about whether he will retire in the next few weeks.
