AJC: Former President Jimmy Carter fractures pelvis in fall at home
March 22, 2019, Carter became the oldest living former president in U.S. history. At the age of 94 years and 172 days, he passed George H.W. Bush, who was 94 years, 171 days when he died last November.
This is his second fall this month and third this year. Both times he has been up and working again quickly.
Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter had a fall yesterday evening at his home in Plains, Ga. He has been admitted to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center for observation and treatment of a minor pelvic fracture. He is in good spirits and is looking forward to recovering at home.
