As sure as the sun rises in the east, lies will emanate from the White House. Early Monday morning President Trump was tweeting about one of his favorite targets, The Washington Post.
The subject of his scorn was a Post piece from Sunday all about the Trump-created crisis that began with his racist “go back” tweets.
In trying to help Trump dig himself out, the piece said that said “advisers wrote new talking points and handed [Trump] reams of opposition research” on the four Democratic Representatives. But Trump disagreed, tweeting:
“The Amazon Washington Post front page story yesterday was total Fake News. They said “Advisors wrote new talking points and handed him reams of opposition research on the four Congresswomen.” Now really, does that sound like me? What advisors, there were no talking points,….“
Except for the talking points pictured below. The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake points out that photographer Jabin Botsford shot these photos of Trump holding talking points on the four Democrats in his hand at a July 15th event, complete with a misspelling. “Alcaida” = Al-Qaeda.
