Welcome

There are now questions swirling over whether Donald Trump lied when he submitted written answers to Robert Mueller during the Russia investigation. CNN reports:

The House’s general counsel said in federal court Monday. “Did the President lie? Was the President not truthful in his responses to the Mueller investigation?” House general counsel Douglas Letter told the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit about why the House now needs access to grand jury material Mueller collected in his investigation.

This comes on the same day that Trump fired off tweets saying he would “consider” testifying in the impeachment inquiry.

CNN legal analyst Renato Mariotti remarked:

Trump won’t actually testify. He claimed that he was going to sit down with Mueller and then ended up submitting answers to written questions, some of which turned out to be false.
