This is fascinating to watch. Some Republican Senators are jumping from the Trump train. They see this family separation policy adopted by the White House as a political disaster. They are being flooded with calls and have obviously decided this policy is lunacy. Republican Ted Cruz, from Texas, says “this has to stop.”
"This has to stop," Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said when asked about the separation of migrant families at the border in his state.
He'll also be introducing legislation "that will mandate that kids must stay with their parents." pic.twitter.com/2j0Z515d88

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, long a supporter of GOP politics, says “this must end now.”
US Chamber and Business Roundtable come out against family separation. "There is no other way to say it, this is not who we are and it must end now,” writes Chamber’s Donohue.

Republican John Cornyn, also of Texas, is working to pass a bill to keep families together.
Cornyn is leading Senate GOP efforts to pass a narrow bill to keep families together at border, hoping to unveil a bill as soon as tomorrow. He said funding for Trump’s wall will NOT be included in bill bc it could collapse otherwise, differing from House approach
