Lou Dobbs “remains under contract at Fox News but he will in all likelihood not appear on the company’s networks again.” That’s according to The Los Angeles Times. They are exclusively reporting that Fox News has canceled “Lou Dobbs Tonight. The newspaper says Dobbs’ show will air for the last time tonight.

The move comes just a day after Smartmatic, a voting technology company, filed a $2.7 billion lawsuit against Fox News, Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, Jeanine Pirro and others.

Dobbs has been one of Donald Trump’s biggest cheerleaders and often pushed false allegations about voter fraud.

The Times points out “people familiar with discussions say the decision to end Dobbs’ program was under consideration before the legal issues with Smartmatic arose.”
