A federal ethics agency reported to the White House that presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway violated the Hatch Act when she made two appearances, one on Fox News, the other on CNN where she “impermissibly mixed official government business with political views about candidates in the Alabama special election.”
In other words, she showed her support for Roy Moore, which is illegal. Here’s a quote from one of the interviews:
“Doug Jones in Alabama, folks, don’t be fooled. He will be a vote against tax cuts. He is weak on crime. Weak on borders. He’s strong on raising your taxes. He is terrible for property owners.”

Under the Hatch Act, federal employees are restricted from using their government position for partisan political purposes.
The report on Conway’s conduct has been submitted to Donald Trump who is responsible for any disciplinary action.
