There may be progress today on North Korea. The BBC is reporting that “North Korea is willing to talk about getting rid of its nuclear weapons but only if its own safety can be guaranteed, South Korea says.” There is also word that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is willing to speak with the US and stop nuclear tests. Now Donald Trump is reacting to this news.

CNN’s reporter stationed on the Korean peninsula says while this is progress, both countries have been down this road before.
Keep in mind – we’ve seen this before. North Korea engages in strategic diplomacy & continues to quietly bolster its nuclear force. They’re still developing missiles & warheads, not letting their guard down. If diplomacy fails, we could end up on the same path as before, or worse
