Question: Clemson, you just won the college football national championship. Where are you going?
Team: The White House so we can dine on Burger King, Wendy’s and McDonald’s.
Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley released a statement saying, “Much of the residence staff at the White House is furloughed so the President is personally paying for the event to be catered with some of everyone’s fast foods.” Oh, and Gidley also said this was the Democrats fault.

It also seems money wasn’t the only factor in this fast food feast. Trump also said, “We are going to serve McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Burger King, with some pizza. I really mean it. It will be interesting and I would think that’s their favorite food.” He later added, “I think they’d like it better than anything we could give. We have some very large people that like to eat.”

Asked which of the fast food eats he likes best, "I like it all," said @POTUS. "It's all great stuff." Said it'll be interesting to see how much is left, after the Clemson team fills up. Thinks they'll like it better than anything else the WH could serve. pic.twitter.com/8mlPIREZmu

While Trump probably has these restaurants on speed dial, it appears the food was cold by the time players, who were dressed in suits, got a chance to dig in. There were no warming trays in sight.

I’ll bet Alabama is glad they didn’t win.

Were local restaurants, not in the President’s budget?
I found that very insulting to local small business restaurants.

Yes! Local restaurants that are probably hurting bc all the people who usually eat at them have no money now and can’t due to shutdown!
