Rep. Maxine Waters of California has the most quoted line on why she’s won’t be attending Donald Trump’s State of the Union: “Why would I take my time to go and sit and listen to a liar.” Eleven Democrats in the house are opting out of the event, less than the 60 who refused to attend Trump’s inauguration. Senator Cory Booker is bringing as his guest a “dreamer.”
It's my honor to introduce to you my State of the Union guest this year. All the way from Ridgefield, NJ – Dreamer Elizabeth Vilchis will be joining me at #SOTU https://t.co/iSO1Oz154y

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is also not attending. Trump has called on her to resign saying “her mind is shot.” The Justice has called Trump a “faker.”
