Boulder police have charged a 21-year-old man from nearby Arvada, Colorado with ten counts of murder in connection with the shooting at a local supermarket on Monday.

The Washington Post reports:

Law enforcement officials said the suspect, Ahmad Al Issa, carried out the attack with a rifle and was in custody but offered no details on a suspected motive. Police identified victims between the ages of 20 and 65.

The rampage was the latest in a history of mass shootings in the Denver area, and comes as the nation is still grappling with a devastating attack in Atlanta that left eight people dead last Tuesday.

Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold updated the situation on Tuesday morning.
