As the late, great Tom Petty sang, “I won’t back down.” Now it looks like Henry Holt, the book publisher behind the new book “Fire and Fury: Inside Trump’s White House” is following that philosophy. The publisher and author Michael Wolff aren’t letting a cease and desist order, sent by one of Trump’s attorneys, stop them from publishing the book. Not only is the publisher still planning to go ahead with the book release, but in response to all the attention the book is receiving, it has moved up the release date to tomorrow. It’s already #1 on Amazon’s best-seller list, where it reportedly moved up more than 40,000 places in one day.
Here we go. You can buy it (and read it) tomorrow. Thank you, Mr. President.

UPDATE: Statement from Holt: “Henry Holt confirms that we received a cease and desist letter from an attorney for President Trump. We see 'Fire and Fury' as an extraordinary contribution to our national discourse, and are proceeding with the publication of the book.”
