While it’s clear Donald Trump isn’t a fan of Andrew McCabe, the former deputy FBI director doesn’t seem to be lacking support. The GoFundMe page for his “legal defense fund” is now over $500,000 in just two days. The original goal was just $150,000.
McCabe’s page says it’s for attorney bills that he may incur with “congressional inquiries that he will be required to respond to, as well as the broader Office of the Inspector General (OIG) investigation that is ongoing, and any potential lawsuits he might consider.”
In 38 years as a lawyer and 24 years in private practice, I have rarely seen the kind of support Andy McCabe is getting. He got a raw deal and people know it. He deeply appreciates the support. https://t.co/8P65VE0ETW

If McCabe keeps raising money this fast, he should probably run for something. Trying to raise $150k — hit over $100k within three hours.https://t.co/jhzyT7WWRo
