Anthony Antonio, a man whose attorney blames “Foxitus” or “Foxmania” for his client’s actions during the Capitol Hill insurrection is talking expressing remorse today. According to The Washington Post, “Antonio, 27, who turned himself in to police on April 20, is charged with unlawful and violent entry of the Capitol, police obstruction and destruction of government property, according to an arrest warrant.” Today Antonio spoke with CNN about how what he has learned since January 6th, saying it’s time to “come together as one and stop disagreeing.”
Antonio says he watched while rioters beat DC police officer Michael Fanone. He apologized to him today, “I wanted to apologize because I just stood there and I didn’t help.”
The Department of Justice reports that 465 people have been arrested in connection with the January 6th siege. They expect to charge at least 550 people.
