USA Today: Coast Guard issues warning on charging phone batteries after California boat fire
In the wake of the deadly California dive boat fire, the Coast Guard recommends boat operators limit the unsupervised use of power strips.
The cause of this deadly fire isn’t known yet, but this warning said:
Boat operators should “reduce potential fire hazards and consider limiting the unsupervised charging of lithium-ion batteries and extensive use of power strips and extension cords.”
