John Hickenlooper is dropping out of the race to be the Democratic nominee for president remarking:

This morning, I’m announcing that I’m no longer running for President. While this campaign didn’t have the outcome we were hoping for, every moment has been worthwhile & I’m thankful to everyone who supported this campaign and our entire team.

The former Governor of Colorado says he is instead going to give a Senate run “some serious thought.” While his campaign for president never picked up steam, it’s believed he will be a formidable challenger for the Republican incumbent,  Sen. Cory Gardner.
