At least 12 people were killed another 4 injured when a gunman began shooting inside the Virginia Beach municipal complex Friday afternoon. The suspected shooter was a longtime city employee who was also killed. Virginia Beach Police Chief Jim Cervera said the suspect was a current, longtime employee of Virginia Beach Public Works who opened fire and shot “indiscriminately” at workers inside an operations building in the Virginia Beach Municipal Center on Friday afternoon.
