By all accounts it appears Robert Mueller will be ending his investigation without subpoenaing the president to testify before a grand jury. That’s something that troubles Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Today he told Meet The Press host Chuck Todd:
“I think ultimately it’s a mistake because probably the best way to get the truth would be to put the President under oath. As he’s made plain in the past, he feels it’s fine to lie to the public after all he has said, it’s not like I’m talking before a magistrate. Maybe he should talk before a magistrate.”
Schiff also talked about whether Michael Cohen was a credible witness. Take a look at the full interview above.
