SyFy: Comic book icon Stan Lee dies at age of 95
Stan Lee, the man whose name has been synonymous with comics for more than a half a century, has died. Lee, whose birth name was Stanley Martin Lieber, died Nov. 12, 2018 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at the age of 95. His death has been confirmed by TMZ.
For countless fans, Stan Lee was as outsized a character as any of the dozens of flawed superheroes he co-created during his legendary career at Marvel Comics. From his groundbreaking work reinventing comics in the 1960s, to his present-day status as a comics folk hero, Lee established himself as a unique figure in American lore.
