It’s hard to imagine the current President or Vice President shedding a tear or calling someone on the other side of the aisle one of their best friends and truly meaning it. Things haven’t always been this way though. Look no further than former Vice President Joe Biden talking to Meghan McCain today on “The View.”  Biden talked about Meghan’s father, Senator John McCain with such genuine empathy and love.
