You knew Saturday Night Live’s season premiere would open with politics, but it wasn’t Alec Baldwin embodying Donald Trump. Instead, in a surprise appearance, Matt Damon appeared as Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and he nailed it. Using some actual dialogue from Thursday’s hearing mixed with made up lines, Damon had the facial expressions, cadence and water drinking down to a T. You can be sure Trump, Kavanaugh and GOP members of the Senate Judiciary Committee won’t be laughing at this, but it sure was comedy at its finest.
