Trump Spends The Weekend In Scotland, Boosting His Resort

Welcome to Scotland. If you happen to be in the area, The President of the United States would like to rent you a hotel room. Or how about a round of golf? Donald Trump is staying in Scotland this weekend, at his hotel and inviting you over, for a price. Plus, nothing like a little free advertising on Twitter:

I have arrived in Scotland and will be at Trump Turnberry for two days of meetings, calls and hopefully, some golf – my primary form of exercise! The weather is beautiful, and this place is incredible! Tomorrow I go to Helsinki for a Monday meeting with Vladimir Putin.

Ethics experts tend to be cynical about the president’s sentimental references to his resort: His arrival at Turnberry marks the 169th day during his presidency that he has visited a property owned, managed or branded by the Trump Organization. Financial records show the resort has lost money since Mr. Trump purchased it in 2014.

Green fees for the Turnberry courses can be a staggering $400 a round. This morning Trump teed it up to a chorus of not-so-well wishers.
