Senator Susan Collins is one of the Republican senators who is a swing a vote for or against Donald Trump’s nominees to the Supreme Court. Today she made the rounds on a couple Sunday political shows talking about the role Roe V. Wade would play in her decision, but her position on approving Supreme Court nominees isn’t exactly satisfying to everyone. She says:

“I would not support a nominee who demonstrated hostility to Roe v. Wade because that would mean to me that their judicial philosophy did not include a respect for established decisions, established law. And I believe that that is the very important fundamental tenant of our judicial system.”

On the surface, Collins may seem to be indicating that she would push back on Trump nominees, but some Democrats aren’t buying it.
