Melania Trump has resurfaced at a couple different events over the last 24 hours. This came after she was out of the public eye for more than 3 weeks following kidney surgery. Today she was at Donald Trump’s side during a FEMA briefing. Trump acknowledged her at the beginning of the meeting saying, “She’s doing great. She went through a little rough patch, but she’s doing great and we are very proud of her.” Watch what else he said above.
This appearance came just a few hours after Trump put out these tweets.
The Fake News Media has been so unfair, and vicious, to my wife and our great First Lady, Melania. During her recovery from surgery they reported everything from near death, to facelift, to left the W.H. (and me) for N.Y. or Virginia, to abuse. All Fake, she is doing really well!

…Four reporters spotted Melania in the White House last week walking merrily along to a meeting. They never reported the sighting because it would hurt the sick narrative that she was living in a different part of the world, was really ill, or whatever. Fake News is really bad!

Those tweets aren’t sitting well with many people.
I am to my knowledge the only reporter on the @FLOTUS beat full time from a major outlet, and I never reported she was near death or had a facelift, or anything in bewteeen it similar. 🙋🏼♀️ https://t.co/4yeX3qcFIF

I see some people who for years have been speculating and coming-up with theories about FORMER First Lady Hillary Clinton’s health, are now upset that some people are speculating and coming-up with theories about CURRENT First Lady Melania Trump’s health. 🤔

And MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough pointed out the irony of Trump’s tweet because it was just last year when Trump himself accused Mika Brzezinski of having had plastic surgery.
I agree that it would be “vicious” and “unfair” to lie about a loved one having a facelift for the purpose of causing pain and embarrassment. Mr. President, can you imagine anyone would be so cruel to do such a thing? https://t.co/zfqjt1LKw2

I can’t even imagine. https://t.co/WrwlEc37OH
