Jaime Harrison, the chair of the Democratic National Committee, slammed Sen. Tom Cotton and his Republican colleagues during an interview Wednesday morning on MSNBC.

On Tuesday, the Arkansas Senator reiterated that he’d vote against Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for the Supreme Court and said the former public defender would likely have defended Nazis at the Nuremberg trials if given the opportunity.

Cotton was also the driving force behind the baseless smear – which has since metastasized in right-wing circles – that Jackson and her supporters coddle sex offenders and pedophiles.

Harrison shot back at Cotton on Wednesday saying, “Tom Cotton is the lowest of the low…he doesn’t deserve to be in the United States Senate representing the good people of Arkansas.”

Harrison explained that Cotton blocked former President Barack Obama’s ambassador to the Bahamas for years in order to inflict personal pain on both Obama and the nominee, a well-respected Democratic stalwart.

The DNC chair then took a shot at the GOP. It’s our quote of the day.

That is the Republican Party that we see today. It is a party built on fraud, fear, and fascism.

“They don’t deserve to be in power,” Harrison added. “Not because Democrats should, but because they don’t deserve to be in power.”
