Marjorie Taylor Greene is getting a slap on the wrist on Twitter for the second time in a month. It’s for, once again, lying about Covid vaccines. The Georgia Congresswoman said they are “failing” and that the FDA “should not approve the covid vaccines.”
According to CNN, “A Twitter spokesperson said the tweet ‘was labeled in line with our COVID-19 misleading information policy. The account will be in read-only mode for a week due to repeated violations of the Twitter Rules.’”
Back on July 20th, she was slapped with a short 12-hour timeout for several tweets that contained misinformation about the coronavirus vaccines. She received the same short break from Twitter in January for spreading lies about election fraud.
So why is Greene getting so many chances on the social media platform? CNN’s social media reporter Donie O’Sullivan explains.
Twitter has a five strike policy on Covid misinformation. It looks like Greene is on her 4th strike. pic.twitter.com/J8di7mXfXF
