NBC News: Obama praises MLB for pulling All-Star Game from Atlanta in protest of restrictive voting law
Former President Barack Obama applauded Major League Baseball’s decision to pull this year’s All-Star Game out of Atlanta in protest of Georgia’s new restrictive voting law.
This comes as Georgia’s Governor blasts the MLB saying: “Major League Baseball caved to the fears and lies of liberal activists. They ignored the facts of our new election integrity law and they ignored the consequences of their decision on our local community.”
Congratulations to @MLB for taking a stand on behalf of voting rights for all citizens. There’s no better way for America’s pastime to honor the great Hank Aaron, who always led by example.
