On This Week, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos raised an interesting scenario that is probably far-fetched but could put a big wrench in Mitch McConnell’s plan to quickly replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Here’s what he asked Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi:

Some have mentioned the possibility if they try to push through a nominee in a lame-duck session, that you and the House can move to impeach President Trump or Attorney General Barr as a way of stalling and preventing the Senate from acting on this nomination.

Pelosi didn’t rule it out, instead this is what she said.

Pelosi also addressed the possibility of expanding the number of people on the high court, should Democrats take control of the Senate.
