The death of director Lynn Shelton has sent shockwaves through the entertainment world. The 54-year-old who directed episodes of “Mad Men,” “GLOW,” and “Fresh Off the Boat” died late last week. Now her boyfriend, actor/comedian Marc Maron, is sharing what happened in those last days of her life. He says she had been battling a sore throat but tested negative for coronavirus. She was set to get blood tests Friday but collapsed at home the day before. She was rushed to the hospital where she died soon after. Her publicist says her death is attributed to a previously unidentified blood disorder. Maron paid tribute to Shelton during his podcast Monday, It’s heart-wrenching, but worthy of your time:

“It’s devastating. I am leveled, heartbroken and in complete shock and don’t really know how to move forward in this moment.”

Shelton is also being remembered by many of those who knew her in Hollywood. She most recently directed several episodes of Hulu’s “Little Fires Everywhere,” starring Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon.
