NBC News: San Francisco orders public not to leave home ‘except for essential needs’
Pharmacies, grocery stores, banks, gas stations and essential government services will remain open, as will restaurants but for takeout and delivery orders only.
The order is for San Francisco and surrounding counties.
San Francisco will be on lockdown for three weeks beginning Tuesday at midnight. It will prohibit residents from leaving home except for basic needs including visiting the doctor, buying groceries or medicine, until at least April 7. https://t.co/c0TRoVetu3
