The Washington Post is reporting tonight Donald Trump plans to replace national security adviser H.R. McMaster. The Post, citing five sources on the story says Trump is actively discussing replacements. From the Post:
- “Trump is now comfortable with ousting McMaster, with whom he never personally gelled, but is willing to take time executing the move because he wants to ensure both that the three-star Army general is not humiliated and that there is a strong successor lined up, these people said.”
Trump told John Kelly earlier this week that he wanted HR McMaster gone and he needed finalists for a replacement. He has begun evaluating them. National security adviser's exit is only a matter of time: https://t.co/nv1AIHudhi

Chief of staff Kelly is also rumored to be out, as is Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The environment inside the White House has been described as toxic with staff changes happening almost daily. More changes are reportedly happening tomorrow.
One of the leading contenders for national security adviser is former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton.
