It may be a rocky road ahead for Rudy Giuliani. Last week we heard that the current president wanted his personal attorney to help defend him during a Senate impeachment trial, but it turns out Giuliani won’t be involved, at least not in the role of an attorney.

Giuliani told the crowd at Trump’s “Save America” rally, “let’s have trial by combat.”

This comes on the heels of a Washington Post report that Donald Trump’s relationship with Giuliani is “frayed” and that “Trump has instructed aides not to pay Giuliani’s legal fees.”

Last month the New York Times also reported that federal prosecutors in Manhattan are investigating whether Giuliani broke lobbying laws in his dealings in Ukraine.

We may find out tomorrow whether Trump will pardon Giuliani in advance of any potential federal criminal charges.

On top of all that there have been calls to disbar Giuliani. Earlier this month the New York Bar Association launched an inquiry into removing the former NYC mayor from its membership.
