Police in Austin, Texas report at least three people are dead after being shot in the northwest part of the city. The incident is being described as an “active shooter” situation near the Arboretum retail center.
Police have named a suspect and released his description. He’s 41-year-old Stephen Broderick, a former sheriff’s detective in Austin. He is considered armed and dangerous and local police in the area are asking residents to shelter in place.
